Project Humanitarian Help and Aid for Development

 

Ajuda Amiga send goods to Guinea-Bissau in order to help the programs of Ajuda Amiga, Members of Ajuda Amiga stay in Guinea-Bissau between two and four weeks to perform the distributions and other projects. This project it is link to the Project Minga, because the collection of goods is common.

Project Minga

 

Project to develop and promote the cooperation with other nonprofits organizations for the benefit of the community in Portugal, by donation of goods, and technical cooperation.

 

Ajuda Amiga - Programs

 

There are tree programs always open.

 

Program to Help Vocational Training

 

 

Mission: create, improve, provide, help vocational training courses.

 

Activities developed:

 

Ajuda Amiga send technical books and equipments, to help, creation or improvement training courses in Vocational Training Schools.

 

Ajuda Amiga also provide short training courses about Technologies of Information, Agriculture, Environment, Conservation, etc., for teachers and experts, that was done in cooperation with local partners. About 30 people are trained each year

 

The local partners are the NGOs..

 

This help was benefit about 200 teachers and experts.

 

 Program to Help Education and Culture

Mission: promote and improve the education system and create public libraries.

 

Activities developed: once a year many thousands of books are donated to schools, schools roofs are repaired and water wells are opened, improving the conditions for many thousands of students. The good use of last donation is verify. Promote and improve education it is our first priority. This help benefit 60 schools and about 20.000 students.

 Program to Help Children and the Elderly

Mission: provide help for people in deep need.

 

Activities developed: once a year we distribute some help to the elderly, give some goods to the Recovery Centers for Children Malnourished of Catholic Church, like clothing, food, medicines, toys, among others. About 20 children in deep need and their families recive some help by this program. Some toys are also sent to kindergartens. About 200 elderly war veterans also receive help from Ajuda Amiga.
